Just a little Vent

{Top: idk, Mom's}
{Jeans: T.J. Maxx, $20}
{Flats: Modcloth, $25}
{Blazer: Thrifted, $4}
{Necklace: Forever 21, gift}
{Purse: Charlotte Russe, $13}
{Scarf: Old Navy, $1}

I consider myself a generally positive person. I honestly do see the bright side of (most) things and I'll do just about anything to avoid a fight with my friends or family. But dang, sometimes I wish I could let out all my frustrations and vent to the world. I won't make you all listen to all that because I do want to keep the tone of this blog positive. But I will say... Be careful with the words you use to your loved ones. For instance: When using the phrase "Guess what?!" You should generally follow it up with something positive.

Correct Example: "Guess what?! I got this awesome silk scarf for ONE DOLLAR!"
Incorrect Example: "Guess what?! The divorce finally went through!"

Whew, ok. That's the end of my venting for now. Again, I don't mean for this to be a negative post in anyways. Actually when I told the story above to some of my friends it even got a few laughs.

I hope everyone else is having a good beginning to the week... And if any of you have days like me and just need to vent- feel free to email me! I'm always willing to listen :)

Poor Little Tights

{Skirt: Gap, $13}
{Top: Old Navy, $4}
{Blazer: H&M, $25}
{Tights: Target, $10}
{Necklace: American Eagle, gift}
{Flats: Target, $9}
{Purse: Charlotte Russe, $12}

I kept wearing these tights (the second identical pair I bought...) hoping that the slowly growing rip would eventually disappear. It didn't. It got larger. So again, if anyone knows a reliable pair of black sheer polka dot tights (I'm generally a good tights wearer too, I swear!) please point me in their direction!

Thrifted Treasure.

{Blazer: Thrifted, $3}
{Skirt: H&M, $16}
{Top: The Limited, $20}
{Tights: WeLoveColors.com, $10}
{Flats: Target, $15}
{Necklace: gift}
{Bracelets: random}
{Belt: Old Navy Men's, $1}

I came across this little blazer while thrifting the other day. At first I just saw an ugly old brown thing... but as I gave it a second look I started to see how much I really liked it. To start out with, it's not just brown. There's all of these other colors lightly woven in- deep jewel tones of blues, greens, and maroons. Also, it has the softest suede elbows (elbow pads?) And even though it's obviously pretty old (I can tell from the tag on the inside) the fabric, 100% wool, is in nearly perfect condition. To think I got it for $3!

Also, thank you all for your sweet comments and well wishes! After a 13 hour sleep I'm feeling much better- although my lack of voice begs to differ :/

Holiday? No.. Presentation.

{Skirt: Banana Republic Outlet}{Blouse: GAP}{Tights: WeLoveColors.com}
{Blazer: Thrifted}{Ring: Charlotte Russe}{Shoes: Target}{Belt: J.Crew Outlet}

I really liked this outfit... But before you think I wore these tights two days in a row- I actually wore this last week for my final presentation in my Internet Marketing Class. I always feel so much more confident when I'm dressed nice. And when I'm dressed creatively nice (not just a suit) I feel extra good. So that was today... er, last Wednesday. Proof that I am keeping up with the 30 for 30!

1/3 Done!

{Jeans: TJ Maxx}{Top: The Limited}{Blazer: Thrifted}{Belt/Necklace? Francesca's}
{Necklace: Puerto Rican Market}{Flats: Payless}

So this is the 2nd set of outfit pictures I took today. Where are the ones from my first outfit? They're in my trash folder, because the wind blew my messy braid everywhere, my glasses were fogged, and it was just all together bad. I may or may not repeat that outfit... until then here is today's (second) outfit. Nothing spectacular. Just a plain top and jeans dressed up by a blazer and some accessories. Ah, the life of a college student...

Day to Night- Without Changing

{Dress: Urban Outfitters, $15}{Blazer: Thrifted, $4}{Necklace: Urban Outfitters, $8}
{Tights: WeLoveColors.com, $10}{Flats: Payless, $15}
Stereotypical "cheerleader pose"
So this was actually last Friday. I planned on putting the outfit back on to get individual pictures... but that didn't really work out. So here are group pictures; that works right?

Anyways, I wore this all day Friday to classes and work, and around 5:30 pm I was working on a project when I was reminded that I had a banquet to be at in twenty minutes. Thank goodness I chose to dress up for class anyways!

As for the banquet, it was nice to celebrate the end of the football season. All of the players, cheerleaders, and some family members and supporters were there, so it was alot of fun.

Remix! But not really...

{Boyfriend Blazer: Dillard's, $30}{Shorts: Gap Outlet, $10}{Top:J.C. Penney's, 97¢}
{Sandals:Forever 21, $18}{Necklace: Forever 21, $5}
I found these pictures on my computer from early fall. They're not the best, which is probably why I didn't post them, but I still really liked the outfit. When I first pulled them up though, I realized that I had worn this top, short, and pair of shoes in several of my recent posts. I guess it just goes to show the many ways you can remix a couple of basics!
