Tired of this blazer yet? No? How about the boots? Well I hope not, because I think I'll be re wearing both these pieces all winter long... or, at least until I get more boots/outerwear.
About the title- Have you ever bought anything because you honestly loved it, but then abandoned it in the back of your closet because you can't figure out how to wear it? Well, this is one of those items for me. I seriously bought it over a year ago. I rediscovered it the other day, tags still attached, and decided to make it work. Wouldn't you know that once I picked it up I made SO many outfits around it. Too bad it took me a year to realize that... I love the way it twirls (as demonstrated) but I especially love the little polka dot/dash pattern on it. You can't really see the pattern unless you're close up, but I think it adds a nice little extra.
Side note: I'm writing this on Friday to be published on Saturday. I'm also writing Sunday's post now because.... tomorrow's my 20th birthday! Today is my friend Colleen's birthday too, so we have some fun stuff planned this weekend- I'll take plenty of pictures I'm sure. Also, my awesome boyfriend is coming up from Tennessee to spend the weekend. Maybe I can convince him to help out with some pictures...
i love the necklace!
ReplyDeleteCan I just say: I love your pictures. What a picturesque spot. =) And I completely know what you mean about those pieces that you love but never seem to work in. I can see how this skirt would fit into that category, since it's so fancy and eye-catching; it would be hard to know how to make other clothes work with it. You did a great job, though!
ReplyDelete(PS - I found your blog through the no-pants week thing. Looking forward to seeing your other outfits through the week!
Hi Abby! Happy 20th birthday!! I just love your outfit! The stripes and the red skirt. It's so cute! I'm glad we are doing the no pants challenge together!

This is an adorable skirt! I love the whole look. I definitely have items in my closet that sit there until inspiration strikes.
ReplyDeleteI hope you had a very happy 20th Birthday!
i like that skirt a lot. i also like the shirt, and i remember you wore it (or something similar) in your post with the black gladiator style sandals and turquoiseish skirt. that's one of my favorites, and so is this :)
